@dazedandoverstimulated: The autistic experience of ⚡️hearing the electricity⚡️#autismawareness #autismacceptance #autism #neurodivergent #autisticadult
You can't actually hear electricity itself in your walls! 🤫 Spoiler: No! Electricity itself is silent. That hum or buzz you might notice, especially from older wiring or appliances, is the sound of components vibrating because of the electrical current, not the electricity itself!

Yeah our nervous system is built without filters that normal people have. We are way more sensitive to everything. Hearing electricity, getting blinded by normal light, hearing everyone's conversations at the same volume as if they would talk into my ears or feeling every little thing on my skin is not a super power like people who have no clue talk about it in the comments. It's torture that we have to endure everyday.

Hunting down the fan across the house. Hearing water drip from the other room and finding the cause. Hearing people walk and knowing exactly who and where they are.

As an engineer that also hears it, what ur hearing is the high frequency coils inside switching power supplies for led bulbs, phone chargers, inside tvs, laptop chargers, even smart toasters, but yes, it activates the tism

this is not autistic, younger people under 25-30 can hear higher frequencies than older people because they lose their hearing in these high frequencies. stop making the most normal things „autistic“ 🙄

No, just no. Who makes those things up? Electricity is 50hz or 60hz, you cant hear that unless its something like a big transformer and it doesnt sound anything like that. The sound youre hearing is probably your phones power supply, that would explain the high frequency sound. That sounds is called coil whining, literally everyone can hear that. Autism isnt a superpower that lets you hear electricity, youre just more sensible to sounds made by electric devices.
