It's not even a comfort food though, It's a rations/depression era food we left behind and even most of our poor population doesn't know. The difference is we left it behind and they didn't 💀

Difference is less than 3% of the US has even heard of chipped beef or whatever that is where 100% of Brit’s will stand ten toes down on beans on toast. Both are Great Depression meals, both are not good

If you want a fair comparison in how common the dishes are do Biscuits and Gravy to Beans on Toast as they are eaten about the same amount in both countries (Like a majority of Brits have eaten Beans on Toast occasionally like how Americans do Biscuits and Gravy)
