As a child, my mother taught me how to forage for wild plants. People freak out when we go for walks and I eat the wild plants, telling me that they will make me sick…😆 Indoctrination at its best. Man, have we been lied to 💫

This reminds me of a story. It’s a long one, tho, so I might have to comment multiple times. Anyhow, here goes: there’s this herbalist’s apprentice and they want to graduate, so the Herbalist gives them a test. Go out and find me an herb with no practical application & no medical use at all. So the apprentice leaves to find some useless plant. They search the city but even the grass can be used in a poultice. They search the countryside but every tree, bush and fern can be used somehow. They travel the Earth for five years, even finding useful plants in foreign lands, until they return to the Herbalist feeling defeated. Teacher, they say, I have searched far and long for a plant without value in medicine and I have failed. The Herbalist smiles and says: you have graduated

I agree but please note there is also a whole lot of things that WILL hurt you. Wouldnt want anyone sautéing poison ivy or eating poke berries cause a tiktok made them feel confident

I once found very nice mushrooms,brown, looks edible, so I ate them raw, I just want it that way..People told me I was insane..maybe..and maybe not. Nothing happened to me and they tasted good❤️
