We had children’s locks for the cabinet that installed inside of the cabinet when I was younger, I’m now 37. You didn’t see them on the outside and it didn’t clutter anything.

Had these before like 6 years ago, they are a good idea but eventually the adhesive that’s holding the lock doesn’t stay strong after so long, plus the kids get stronger and will use anything to pry that mf open!

I’ve had this style magnetic lock on my cabinets for 26 years! Used them for my kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews!! This isn’t a new thing!
