I mean yeah they weren’t the best but we got to keep in mind that they’re not humans they’re invaders they don’t actually understand humanity in the concept of feelings or the Life cycle like we born and develop then die we saw through the series how much they struggled to finally understand that Steven is not another form of Rose that he’s his own person and what a child is or a mother these were still a foreign concepts for them and besides Rose did wanted Steven to live without the burden of the dark past to protect him they were wrong but isn’t that what family is no one is perfect no parents decisions are perfect
