@lindelfields: One of the biggest culture killers I see in school districts? Keeping a bad seed around too long. It’s not the people you fire that cause problems—it’s the ones you don’t. #schooldistrict #school #leadership #culture #workculture
Disagree. Culture killer? Yes. Biggest culture killer? Absolutely not. Biggest culture killer is lack of consequences for poor behavior by students, or even worse, unequal consequences of the same actions….

some of y'all haven't had an extremely incompetent co-teacher, and it shows.

No. It’s lack of support from administration. The principal’s office needs to be a scary place for kids again

How about promoting admin that can’t ’cut it’ to district office positions making 6 figures?

How about all of the administrators who are not “cutting it.” They are toxic and ruin the education experience for everyone!

Well, what’s admin doing to support these ppl? They shouldn’t just fire ppl without giving them support. I’ve seen teachers struggle bc they didn’t get any help. I myself had to figure it out on my own.

Biggest internal culture killer is when admin and leadership continue to create new district office positions while increasing class size and teacher workload.

How about when the district allows admin to stick around when they suck at their job?! that isn't a culture killer?!

The biggest culture killer are Admins who have favorites. And that happens with every admin.

Biggest culture killer is admin. Get up and help the teacher. Go to the classroom, see what’s going on. Do your damn job. Support your teachers. Do not sit there and talk about this in a calm manner like it isn’t someones actual livelihood you want to end. Take responsibility for your actions.

How about the overpaid administrators who venture out of their caves three times a year to give teachers unfair evaluations?

No. It’s admin comparing and favoriting employees. Instead of supporting everyone, they support a select few.

Its admin. Its bloated central offices full of over paid people who have nor set foot in a classroom in years. Its paper and copy limits while admin makes 6 figures.

Nope. Admin often decides that the one who speaks out, pushes back, asks questions of admin is suddenly “not cutting it.”

The biggest culture killer? An overinflated administration department giving mandates to teachers making a third of what they do even though the overinflated admin hasn’t been in the classroom in years.
