I get the ship but no one understands that Rukia could never love Ichigo romantically. Because of his Shiba blood he looked almost identical to Kaien, who Rukia viewed as an older brother/father figure. It was the purest form of friendship and that’s what made the relationship so good. They were there for each other unconditionally without the burden of hiding feelings, able to grow and love who they were meant to. It was the bond that started the whole group/family Rukia found when she didn’t have that. I think it’s uncommon knowledge but Rukia was originally intended to be the MC when Kubo originally started working on the series, and that being one of her character development points shows in the character we have now. This manga/anime is masterclass and to anyone who has never enjoyed it you should. Absolutely goated.

100% top one in the big 3 because one piece it's too simple going to some island helping people or doing some side quests that pretty much it and too much backstory of someone they just meet like who cares about they're backstory - and Naruto it's just being gon finding his father instead of father it's sasuke
