the funding explanation was very good however it is worth mentioning that alot of the Dutchy property is rented to public services like the NHS, which conveniently funnels tax payer money into the pockets of the royals.

If we get rid of the Royals, everyone's taxes will go up as the government would sell the assets to the highest bidder before they pack their suitcase. The Crown estate protects this from happening.

Non related but when I was 5 I saw a woman at the cafe at Sandringham put a massive walkers ready salted crisp in her mouth, I can remember thinking how awesome it would be to be able to be an adult and do that, I’m 23 now and I think about it regularly

i understand how they’re funded but i just don’t think they should exist there is no need for them and i doubt a lot of people actually really care we could invest that money into other areas that need funding
