@tythegardenguy: #Autumnolive (Elaeagnus umbellata) is an invasive shrub growing over 20 feet tall. It’s mostly found in the eastern US outcompeting #nativeplants for sun and nutrients. It’s cousin, the #Goumi (Elaeagnus multiflora), is non-invasive and cultivated for sweeter, juicier fruits. A great addition to any #foodforest
I have one they're so good last year had so many I know this year there's going to be so much more can't wait

They are a bit astringent like dry wine. Good trail snack.

I always try to be as destructive as possible foraging them. Makes no difference. We tear apart hedge rows and you can't even see the spots we hit by next year.
