@nyahjones_: This actually changed my life when I learned about it last year, and now that the weather’s warming back up I’ll share it again for my fellow diagnosed neurodivergent friends (USA)👇 Did you know the National Park Service offers the Access Pass for free to any US citizen that has been medically determined to have a permanent disability (physical, mental, or sensory)?? This pass gets you (+everyone in your private vehicle OR +3 adults) into over 2,000 federal recreation sites across the country!! 🌿⛰️🌞 To qualify for a pass, you’ll need 1) a valid photo ID 2) a document issued by a state/federal agency OR a statement from your licensed physician that documents your permanent disability. You can apply online, but I recommend finding a local federal recreation site that distributes them. Going in person waives the processing fee & seems to be much simpler- I was in and out in 20 minutes! You can find more info about all this on the NPS website or by googling “nps access pass” Take this as your sign to plan that national park trip & get outside this summer! 🥰🫶 *** ‼️ If you’ve had an eye on current events, you know that our public lands are hurting & under threat right now. So if you do get out there with your access pass, be sure to leave no trace! Pls share the love & the beauty on social media, and be a voice to protect it.
