For all Feige’s flaws, he really does love comics, the characters, and is always trying to make movies that have heart. Zack Snyder makes movies that feel like the product of a 19yr male film student who just tried coke for the first time.

Guys I don’t like Zach but don’t come at me when I say I love the directors cut of JL… I really enjoy it but I don’t see it as a super hero film, in my mind the characters aren’t actually DC (plus it’s great bg noise)

MCU has turned characters I had no interest in or hated in comics into characters I'm excited to watch a movie about. Feige et al get some points off that alone. Snyder made me hate Batman, something that should be impossible to achieve.

MoS, DoJ, and Justice League were good films, they weren’t 10/10 masterpieces, but considering the amount of behind the scenes issue that came along with them, i definitely think it gets more hate than it should

i just wish feige had more respect for the comics when it comes to recognizing whos stories are being adapted and making attempts to not change characters ethnicities and backgrounds like wanda and moonknight

Kevin Feige is a good (but not perfect) producer who turned a dying company into a media-dominating ip that turns bottom of the trash can ideas into zeitgeist-altering monsters, using nothing but his sheer tenacity (and endless disney cash). Zach Snyder is an egotistical director who's never made a good movie that thinks he owns total intellectual control over every ip he can get his grubby hands on.

Snyder can get some great visuals and aesthetics but his DC work was abysmal. I don’t know how he managed it but the Snyder Cut was so much worse than the theatrical version. The characters are mostly worse, the plot is worse, it contradicts aspects of the Aquaman film, the soundtrack is weird, Steppenwolf’s voice and design are worse, Darkseid forgot where a planet was, that yodel everytime Wonder Woman or an Amazonian appeared on screen, even Martian Manhunter and the Green Lantern in the flashback battle scene were damaged by Snyder

tbh i don’t think people’s issue with modern mcu is in the quality, but in quantity. its simply overwhelming to watch, to keep track of, to remember context and to wait for new premieres. i don’t want to sound like a republican, but back in my day we had a movie we had to wait for few years and everyone was hyped and everything was simpler; now new fans or fans who fallen off from keeping up with mcu don’t even know where to start

I've heard it described mostly as: Marvel = Humans dealing with the consequences of having the powers of gods. DC = Gods being forced to deal with human problems.
