people forget the bodies of children buried on that land has to be in the thousands. babies and children were more likely to perish due to abuse, starvation, dehydration and heat stroke.

I think people underestimate the horrific things that ACTUALLY happened on plantations. So I mean yea it SHOULD make you feel weird or "creeped out" in the heaviest sense

Servants quarters were almost always above the kitchen so they’d be closer to it via super steep tiny stairs so they’d wouldn’t be seen. And up north, it was how servants quarters were heated in winter, incentive to “keep the home fires burning”.
