Unpopular opinion here, but if someone's in the middle of a conversation are they just supposed to drop it and be rude just because their friend appeared? Second if there's a scenario where you haven't seen someone in a while was there an effort made to stay in contact? If there wasn't then I don't think its wrong for someone to move on. Plus it's not like the friendships can't be rekindled.

Honestly I kinda gave up on friendships on vrc. A lot of the times people just have you around for some sort of attention and don’t really care about you it seems like. Hope you get better soon though :)

It’s hard to see those who we used to hang out drift away to where they sometimes don’t even give a simple wave or acknowledge you’re there. But alas, I suppose it just means it’s time for a new chapter and hopefully make new friends, even if it hurts to let them go.

This has happened to me like millions of times n I also do this. But its just like I don't mean to do it bc like I rarely play vrc anymore in my defense but I still mate myself for doing it. And its like my friends I've made on VRC just either made me worse to new people or just not as open as I used to be. And its half the reason I rarely get on vrc bc I js know ill see one of my old friends forgetting who I am completely like im a random waste of breath 🙏

In my perspective vrchat is every fast pace, a highway of sort. one minute you're meeting someone for the first time, then the next you feel like you've known them all your life. which has been less than a week. friends come and go, I still see them as the same as before no matter how long it's been

Lately I've been preferring planning one on one hangouts with people who genuinely wanna make time to see me there as I'm usually the one in a group who doesn't get much chances to talk and makes me feel like I'm not really their friend and end up getting time wasted for standing too long staring at them talking
