Idk if it’s a good idea but maybe you can offer a gift card to a pet store so that way they don’t have to carry as many cans around and can get other dog food items? Just a thought

Some dog food brands like Science diet have wet food options in single serve pouches! That would be much easier to carry, lighter and takes up less space!

Wet food also helps them in the heat if they can get water very often. I have a husky in Cali. Every spring summer she gets wet food. Then back to dry.
