✨ Have you ever seen the Milky Way with your own eyes? And better yet- have you ever tried capturing it on your phone? The crazy thing is, you can! Your cell phone can photograph the Milky Way, the Northern Lights, a comet, or just the night sky in a way that’s even richer than what your eyes can see. ✨🌌💫👀 I’ll show you how. (I use an iPhone, but Android has similar settings.) 📸 Open your camera app and set it to Photo. Swipe up, and you’ll see a row of little icons. Look for the one that looks like a moon with lines through it -> that’s your long exposure setting. Tap it, then slide the seconds all the way up to the maximum. Now, either use a tripod for best results, or hold your phone as steady as possible against something solid. Aim at the sky, tap the shutter, and hold still while it takes the full exposure. It might be 10 seconds, maybe 30. 🌌 Pro tip: take a bunch of photos, testing different lengths. Too long, and you’ll catch clouds drifting by, satellites, or even airplane trails. Also, swipe up again and play with the plus/minus icon -> that’s your light exposure. Sometimes a little less or a little more light makes a huge difference. And here’s the exciting part: this technique should work for the Interstellar Comet 3i Atlas, expected to brighten in November or December. I’ll keep you posted so you don’t miss it! 💫☄️ Show me your photos in the comments! #3iatlas #interstellarcomet #milkyway #northernlights #longexposurephotography
