when i was staying in Japan i was living in a residential area in Tokyo and one day i was walking around and saw an old grandpa, he looked at me and he seemed so sweet so i said konichiwa and he smiled and said “kirei dane!” i was so flustered and happy after that 😭

When I was in bangkok in a second hand store, there were two japanese guys and one of them literally GASPED at me. I was confused as hell, thought I did something wrong, until he told me at the register „you‘re so beautiful“. Crazy times

yo I was on the train on the tokyo metro and this working lady just full on stared at me, I made eye contact and she just maintained it...then when I broke eye contact she just stared until I left. I have no idea if that was hostile, she wasn't glaring, just looking.
