@cctoivy: Going to Columbia was an absolute highlight and a great accomplishment for me. It would be remiss of me to say everything was perfect. Transferring from a space that was overwhelmingly supportive of their students, it was much easier to see the shortcomings of the institution that had been deemed a pillar of education in its own right.
