"Jokes" are meant to be funny. If the "jokes" are always hurtful against your partner, it's not only NOT funny, it's malicious. NTA. And, she should think about ending the relationship, imo.

NTA. she(op) had every right to leave. she wanted to go out and celebrate a huge career milestone and her wife brought up past insecurities as a joke knowing how much it affected her when she was younger. u NEVER make a joke about things like that
