My senior dog gums got blacker over the years. Her liver and Thyriod are all in normal range. She just got a blood test done. Brush her teeth everyday and I give her a dental treat afterwards. Is it normal? My vet doesn't say anything about it.

My dog had, all of a sudden, a smelly, cheese like odor from it's mouth and it turned out to be a serious kidney problem so please, if you notice something strange, go get their blood work done until it's too late

That’s so true he stop eating and drank a lot more I took him to vet and ran blood test and found he had stage 4/5 kidney failure 🌈had to put him down he just turned 16 years my poor boy Prancer I love and miss you a lot❤️

Ohh we definitely have problems with the mouth. He had 7 teeth out in Feb this year but not long after he was back to chewing funny and bad breath but I can’t see enough in his mouth because he hates being touched around his mouth so even the vet can’t see. They basically told me it’s authorities. But I’m not convinced. His already on cancer medication and 12 years old but I don’t want him in pain. We just soften all of his food. Any ideas what it could be?
