@mlivenews: Five years ago dams failed above Sanford, Michigan and flooded the town. Homes were washed away, and lakes were completely drained. Now, the rebuilding continues and residents wait for the lakes to return. (Kaytie Boomer | MLive.com) #sanford #flood #thenandnow
Yeah , they’re having us the people that live on the lakes pay for the brunt of the Dams & have no mercy for us that lost personal property and personal belongings and still kicking us while we’re down…. Hitting us with a big assessment….. corruption to the core are Government did us wrong!!!

It is criminal what they are doing. I need those to investigate the state of Michigan and Dow for this assessment. They changed our lakes from flood control to recreational and now we’re charging us $40,000 per house. This needs to be investigated and brought the trial.

Yea… and now they clear cut hundreds of acres of Woodland to ship off and pay for roads when they broke our dams. Every house on the water has to pay for it, why all the businesses get to reap the benefit.

If this happened near you know who’s lavish cottage then you know the dam would’ve been fixed in 6 months.

Oh yes, this is happening to my husband and I right now! We bought our place in August 2019 on the Tittabawassee river. We were supposed to retire there. We were so excited. May 2020 dams broke, boom gone! We never put a boat in the water, we never went swimming, and we never went fishing yet!!! Five years paying taxes and insurance with no water and now they hit us with this I got a $30,000 assessment that I have to pay by July 1 or they add interest for 40 years!!

Yeah, still no water. Our taxes are Dublin and there’s nothing but bad news. The state needs to step up and they’re not gonna.
