I always kept my chain around my waist and would keep a free hand around to be able to yank it back. I had a strong putty that ran with me all the time. All you have to do is dig your heels lean back and pull on the leash if they do wanna pull hard.

the bungee leashes like that aren't the greatest and it completely depends on the dog because a dog can be super well trained but reactive and those leashes have no correction power (speaking from experience here)

Your dog is actually less likely to pull with a leash like this because it’s a heavier center of gravity than when you hold the leash

bru these comments are so weird. my dog is perfectly leash trained and sometimes it’s just easier to have a hands free leash esp when it’s cold outside or i have to be carrying things like my trash or something. it’s just a personal preference and has nothing to do with training ur dog to heel

I can do that too without a hands-free leash because my dog walks off leash because he has a recall so I can just stick my hand straight in my pocket and they’ll stay warm during the winter and I can do that also during summertime because we work on his recall every single day of every single year of every single month
