Idk how it is in the country you are in currently, but its not allowed to fix with electricity yourself here in sweden. Like you need to be a certified electrician. Same with plumbing

in Norway both the tools and labour are expensive. But if you do it yourself your insurance won't cover anything👌 if you wire your own electrics, no electrical fires are covered. if you do your own plumbing, your water damage isn't covered etc

with regards to the fuse box. OK, we have what's called LAWS in Europe. they are designed to keep people safe, even Americans. The professional will fit the box and you get to be not electrocuted.

Its not like its cheap to get electician but you actually need one that can give you also some "paper" that it was done by profesional otherwise if your house burn or something insurance wont cover that
