The ironic thing is Martin Margelia would’ve agreed with you. The core of his house is anti-fashion. And it’s actually society that created the status and a sense of elitism around the shoe. Not the designer. That was never his intention.

We need to stop calling them ‘fake’ just because they’re not Margielas. I respect the brand and would love to own a pair, but at the end of the day owning a pair of Tabis is like owning any other shoes... You wouldn’t call an H&M heel ‘fake’ just because it’s not Manolo Blahnik.
