Let’s Think About This Logically: 1. None of the prophets before Jesus ever spoke of him being God. From Adam to Abraham, Moses, David, and all the others — not a single one ever said that God would come down in the form of a man, or that Jesus (ʿĪsā) would be divine. They all taught pure monotheism: to worship God alone. 2. Jesus himself consistently referred to “the Father” as God. He made it clear again and again that God is the Father, not himself. He prayed to the Father, obeyed Him, and taught others to worship Him, not Jesus. 3. He was articulate and clear about worshiping the Father. Jesus never once said, plainly and clearly, “I am God — worship me.” He was capable of speaking in clear terms — so what would have stopped him from saying it if it were true?
