I disagree. The divorce rate in the US is damn near 50% as of last year. The mother is entitled to feel how she feels about the wife to be. She could be more tactful in her delivery but ultimately she has the right to want to protect her son, regardless of how that looks to the outside community. To exclude the mother from the family pictures is outright disrespectful and undermines the husband to be, being that the wedding is just as much for him as it is for her. It’s supposed to be a celebration of their union. If she feels the necessity to “set boundaries” during a shared event for both of them, she might as well call the wedding off.
