@lungisani_mjaji: My last day with a childhood friend was bittersweet. We laughed and played on our way home with school reports, both hoping for a “well done” – Siphasile. But when we got home, reality hit hard. My report read “Not promoted,” a harsh reminder that I struggled to read and write in Grade 3. My friend, on the other hand, was moving on to the next grade, leaving me behind. I spent years trying to catch up, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to bridge the gap. Eventually, I gave up. That experience taught me a valuable lesson: life is full of hellos and goodbyes. We meet people, we leave people, we meet new ones, and we leave again.
