IEP at first was embarrassing but growing up a little I’m blessed for that extra help. Don’t be embarrassed if you need extra help, ask for it and those who care, will truly help you to get better. Don’t give up

An iep is an individual education plan..it’s for kids who learn a bit differently then others and may take them longer to understand a topic. If you have one just know that you are so smart and it’s a gift.

I loved my experience. I got to go to a separate room for testing, and my counselors were incredibly helpful with anything I needed. Having extra time on tests eased the pressure a bit, but honestly, no one judged me at all.

I sometimes feel uncomfortable. Because whenever I take any test, my teachers ask me in front of the whole class if I wanna take it in a different location. Plus some people compare me to the smarter kids just because I don't do as good because of my IEP. Sometimes I get made fun of and when I try to explain why I have it, people laugh and don't understand.
