Was initially told it would be okay to walk with his son then told it’s “against commencement policy “. He deserves and earned the right to walk with his son. 🔥

He was SO proud of this and he walked that stage w his soon. Being a working parents and going to school is not for the weak! Ridiculous that he was kicked out afterwards too.

Shame on UB…. I was just at the SUNY New Paltz graduation and they had a mother with her baby walk. Everyone clapped for her!

I understand that it's a private institution and if they tell him he can't receive his diploma while holding his son, that's fair I guess. But what would the cop even do if he catches the man ? Detain/arrest him for what ? What even would the charge be ? Even if it's trespassing, no one told him to leave yet and if they did, he'd get the opportunity to leave on his own first. I'm so tired of public servants (cops) trying to enforce feelings & policies instead of laws.
