It seems to me it’s become not only acceptable (which is good!), but cool to not be a straight, neurotypical person among young people. I own a small biz and over half the people I’ve hired in the past 3 years are “on the spectrum” or trans or something. I didn’t ask if they were diagnosed as on the spectrum of course, but nearly off of them seemed neuro typical to me. 🤷🏻♂️

It would be nice for comedy to really come back. We ALL used to be made fun of, every race, every culture, everyone. And it was hilarious. Movies and TV haven’t been very funny for the last ten years or so because of all this PC, super woke nonsense. And I’m a minority and a woman. Still wish we could have funny comedians and movies/tv back.

Mental illness is on the rise for a variety of reasons, but at the same time, I think it’s rissen beyond cultural acceptance and become a cultural imperative. It’s crazy how many people want the world to know any and every condition/sexuality/identity they’re able to classify themselves under. At some point I just want to ignore all of that and treat people as individuals. Labels help people get the help they need sometimes, but they also make it harder to treat people as individuals and the way people use them nowadays is often very counterproductive.
