Are you allowed to tie someone to the bed in the US? In the UK, that would be restraint and unlawful even if the person is unable to stand but attempts to get out by themselves. Hope Ed is improving such a lovely man

No his hip had surgery. Put the head of the bed up,will help him get up. That cath has been in a long time. Never ever pull him by his arms. Put your arm under his arm pit and pull him up. NEVER BY HIS ARMS.

Never pull by the arms his fragile at his age. You should assist him by putting your hand on his back and have him hold your hand and then assist him with sitting up.❤️

Dan you are being so kind to your Dad. This is the way he Should be treated . Danielle could be helping you , but NO she's making this video instead of giving you a hand with Pop. She could have handed you find the proper socks, helped move Ed around the bed even by talking soft and kind encouraging him on how well he is progressing . Again but not a single kind word as you work with Pop.

Dan you guy’s are great if there’s one piece of info I can give you is slow down when talking to dad, I worked with dementia patients for almost twenty years , sometimes 25 people at a time

Until you experience this, no one will understand how tough it is to be a caretaker. Your dad was very cooperative, yet your patience and effort while helping him are incredibly amazing.
