Respectfully, we have to be careful what we share on the internet, especially when relating to theology as we do not want to be responsible for leading others astray. Paul writes “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Ephesians 2 : 8-9. This is supported by John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.” Both talk about faith in Christ as the means to salvation. Paul literally explains to the Jews in Rome that the Law cannot save you, it can only bring you knowledge of sin. Why? Because God gave the people his standard, and people are unable to live up to it. So what is the solution? Jesus is the righteousness of God manifested apart from the law (Romans 3:21-22). This is a gift prepared by the grace of God that the path to achieve righteousness is through faith in Jesus Christ. If our works could save us unto salvation, what would be the point of sending Jesus. We literally might as well all be Jews. James says in James 2:18 that faith without works is useless. Why? Faith in Jesus Christ brings us to salvation. However, how do we know that faith is real? If you tell me that you have faith in Jesus Christ, praise God! That’s amazing! However, no one can literally “see” your faith. Works are the evidence that you have true faith. They are the natural fruit of true faith.
