a tortoise setup is a 6×4 bookcase at minimum or a DIY one over that size. thoes tiny store bought tables are only suitable for tiny tiny babies and vivs are never suitable for alot of species

I bought a whole set up but the pet shop gave me a book gave me the torttouse half price gave me food lighting bedding dishes a load of stuff for £330 should of cost loads more and I was going to get a cab he had it delivered by van two men and set it all up for free

Hi this is my first time owning a tortise and i am currently keeping her in 3.5 by 2 foot glass cage or somewhere around that size, Im currently building her a new bigger tank with no glass walls like a good tank for her, I soak her twice a well for 30 mins change her sediment once a week and replace her food and water everyday I alsl regurally tkae her into my backyard and let her roam around my room when she wants to explore. Im worried im dokng a bad job, I got her from a pet smart where she was returned after being poorly cared for she has healing shellrot but it was pretty seirious and im worried im doimg a bad job.

it cost me properly half that tbh my huge table i had my carpenter build me for £80 would properly been £400 in a shop my tortoise was a rescue so only £60. the substrate & lights properly cost me the most amount of money so I think i spent Close to £400 in total

please dont buy those expecially if your tortoise is older than 3... I built an almost 3x4 meters outdoor enclosure for my turtles with a protection grid on top

I have that table BUT I bought two, took the back panels off and pushed them together to make one big table and drilled them together for stability. It’s looks wicked.

started in a viv like most did took glass out and added a piece of wood in front now his a out door tortoise in a run of 6ft by 8 ft and lives out there all year
