FWIW. Audio engineer here, I use Melodyne frequently, I use many DAWs frequently, I’m basically 24/7 working on or with music and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with 440hz tuning or 432hz tuning and almost all pro software can change its global tuning pretty easily. Like all things with sound it’s all relative, 440hz may sound “irritating” to some based on what they’re used to the same way 432hz will sound flat and “lazy” to anyone who’s used to 440hz. There’s no right or wrong, but there is a team of studio crew who know when an artist is “on their bs” and burning through studio budget so they tell them something isn’t possible just to get the session done.

The keyword here is TUNED. 432hz is ONE incredibly specific frequency that plays ONE incredibly specific tone. An entire song cannot play at 432hz because each note is a different frequency, that is just how sound works. The song can be TUNED to 432hz but that means ONLY THE ROOT NOTE plays at 432hz. I’m not trying to make any conclusions here, just stating a fact.

Ancient music wasn't really tuned to 432. when it comes to western classical music it was usually tuned to the local organ. So if the organ was in 415 they tuned their instruments and intonated things to 415. The whole 432 thing is a myth that is baseless and not backed by science or history.
