@moddersupps: Riding elephants can be a VERY controversial topic, often coming from a place of good intention. As a brand rooted in Thailand with ties to elephant conservation, we want to share a different viewpoint than what’s often seen online. Elephants have been part of Thai culture for thousands of years: as wild animals, companions, and working partners. These intelligent, noble creatures form deep bonds with their caretakers when treated with respect. We believe there’s a difference between cultural tradition and actual mistreatment. The key is ensuring these magnificent animals are cared for properly, not judging practices we may not fully understand from the outside. What matters here is the welfare of the elephants and honoring the relationship between Thai people and these incredible animals. 🐘🇹🇭 #thailand #tourism #elephants #elephantriding #elephantpark #elephant #controversy

Yes, say it louder! It’s the locals who’ve lived with elephants for generations know how to take care of them, not the tourists spending for three days thinking they know better by citing the western medias

Those “ethical” sanctuaries that foreigners love to visit are actually harming elephants. These elephants are not ”wild“, they need discipline in order to thrive. A prime example is the recent major flood in northern Thailand, where elephants from a sanctuary died from drowning since they are too panic to flee. And No one could do anything because these elephants had never taught to follow commands. While elephants from other camps all survived.

These elements are the parts of their families not what they steal from the forest and they will not survive if you put them in the forest. No different between horse in western countries

As a Thai. Yes we’ve been riding them for centuries BUT it’s animal cruelty! I grew up in BKK and I saw many elephants got run over on the road since back in the days they were walked in the city to male money.

I think there is a proper and improper way to ride a horse, similar to how some horse are being well groom while others are being negligence.

These animals belong in the wild!! They are abused into submission there is no way to ‘care for them properly’ in this type of setting. It’s 2025 let’s stop abusing animals just because it’s ‘tradition’ 🥲🥲

As a Thai person, I would never ride an elephant, not anymore. This isn’t the 1800s where elephants were used in war. We have modern, ethical ways to get around. Elephants deserve to be protected and cared for, not treated as tools for our entertainment or convenience.

Thailand has given importance to the conservation of domestic and wild elephants. Currently, there are more than 4,000 elephants and the number is increasing continuously. 👍🏻👍🏻

What’s wrong with riding elephants? It doesn’t not harm the elephants at all. In fact, It helps the elephants to keep on surviving by earning money for food. They won’t survive in the forest on their own. there aren’t even any forests safe from hunters. Mind your own business white people!!!
