Socialism is when the workers own the means of production. Instead of a dictatorship of the rich, socialism is the dictatorship of the proletariat. It's not social democracy, which a lot of people get confused with, socialism is something completely different. It's the liberation of the working class.

Capitalism gives more opportunity and therefore power to the people. Private companies are the backbone of the economy - as opposed to the government in a socialist society. Socialism means fewer, less efficient options for goods and services. It also significantly restricts potential for growth.

Nah Capitalism with some socialist ideas is the best, people can own their businesses take risk and reward, people want to be rich but the profit rate has to be fair and depending on what type of company it is as the company grows they should pay their workers more

We do live in a genuinely, democratic economy and society. Companys are conrolled by shareholders, government by voters. We live in the best System possible. Billions of people became wealthy in the last 50 years and in no time so many peope were doing that good as now. Socialism on the other hand has nothing to offer but misery.

I love that you started this by clarifying this was your understanding. Even socialists have different ideas about what it means. Albeit very few of those ideas marry up with what the right tell people socialism is 😅

I like the vision but it comes to a point where people start thinking what’s the point of doing senior jobs etc if they are not rewarded for it.
