this build ignores the core rule that same bonuses to ac don't stack. having a shield gives a shield ac bonus. the shield spell gives a shield ac bonus. they do not stack. so you'd use the better off the two giving a 28 ac. a 26 ac without the spell. and that is without digging to make sure all the other bonuses are being applied correctly.

one of my players tried this... I asked them how good they were with their party dying because to balance that means the others are gunna get messed up so fast.
