Worth noting, is BG3 was based on everything before the 2024 rules came out (but some of the changes Larian made in bg3 inspired some rule updates in the 2024 edition). If you have it for PC, there is a mod “D&D PHB 2024 All In One” that is in the in game mod manager that does a massive update to the mechanics of the game to align pretty close to the 2024 DnD rules. It’s not available for consoles however.
