My mother saying just you wait under you have a daughter (threatening) and now I have a daughter- it’s literally the coolest thing I have ever done! Parenting is fun sometimes exasperating! But amazing!

So it could be accurate if the person doesn’t learn to not make the same mistakes. If your parents don’t communicate well, and you pass that on to your children then history will repeat itself

it was absolutely one of the things my mother said to me in an email when I initially cut contact. difference between us is when my kids tell me I messed up or they don't like me, I listen, accept, apologize, and work on that. and I thank them for telling me. when I did that with her, she spanked me, called me disrespectful, or one time I vividly remember her slapping me across the face. I have to remind myself of that every time her voice pops in my head saying that after a hard day.
