Why don't you post something on Peter Fraser, ex PM of NZ who looked after the Chinese Migrants and is buried in Karori Cemetery in Wellington next to the Chinese Grave site where my Gand Parents are buried. He was highly respected by the Chinese Community. Instead of all the anti colonialism/ white rhetoric. Thank you.

I'm so concerned with the lies being fed to immigrants about Māori and Te Tiriti by the right I've seen so many on here being racist and derogatory towards Tangata whenua. how do we counter this in our communities?

To be clear, racism runs deep in most societies and has for thousands of years. Humanity has had fear based segregation forever and it's not right. But we are part of the animal world and that behavior is part of that. So how do we live without fear?

At that time, I understood why we needed to control immigration.. like all countries at that time it was a transitional.period in history. No racism. I am Chinese and my grandparents were in NZ in 1890...the past is the past, but thank you for your posting
