They need adaptive headlights. The ones that sense oncoming traffic and turn off certain of the million LED lights to carve out oncoming traffic but light up everything else. Technology already exists.

Why don't they just allow the use of pixel lights? The ones that can auto adjust when they see a car coming at them and actually turn off the parts that point at the other car they have them in Europe, but we won't allow them

I love my LED head lights especially on backroads with no street lights. But I also have tinted windows so that helps when someone is behind me.

It’s not the brightness its the angle and generally higher new vehicles. They literally sit higher even at a level plane the headlights will still meet low car eyes. Solution : conform and buy new and borrow money

They don't need to be dimmer, they need to be closer to the road and aimed correctly. When the position of truck headlights is higher than the roof of my car because the truck hood is ridiculously high, to light up any reasonable distance, they have to be aimed so they blind car drivers. Standardize the height of the headlights relative to the road and the problem will be solved.
