It’s a me a Shy :
We need to seriously consider an immigration amnesty for undocumented immigrants in the U.S. — not as a giveaway, but as a smart, secure, and humane solution. By offering a pathway to legal status, we can bring millions out of the shadows and into the system. This helps us know who’s here, who’s working hard, and who might actually pose a threat. It makes it easier to separate law-abiding individuals from those committing serious crimes like murder or trafficking — and focus our law enforcement where it really matters.
Amnesty doesn’t mean automatic citizenship. It can be a process:
5 years of work authorization, with renewal fees.
Apply for legal residency after 5 years.
Apply for citizenship after 10 years, with requirements like learning English and U.S. history.
And if border security is your concern — the fees collected from work permits, renewals, and legal applications can be used to help fund real, modern border enforcement. It's a fair exchange: people get a shot at stability, and America gets stronger, safer systems.
It’s time to lead with logic and humanity — not fear.
