I feel like having location is nessasary for anything. You'd share it with your friends, why not your spouse. The updating thing I get to an extent. I get your out with friends but there is still this little thing deep down thinking abt what is something goes wrong. I had these two friends who both got arrested together. One had his location on, other did not. I last heard from them at 11pm, to then 4pm next day. There's is no way in hell I woulda known that they in fact were okay and didn't die if I didn't have their location saying the jail. And as I assumed because of how these two were with eachother, they'd both be in.
