I don’t understand why landlords behave this way. It doesn’t take much effort to improve a property, especially when a tenant is willing to make upgrades for little cost. It seems unreasonable that they are unwilling to do so.

I had to do one of my old apartments like that. I got the plaster that was ready made and filled in those spaces and got all of my money back.
