Problem is that mortgages have to be set up properly to do this. Most banks would still draw the full 3K at the end of the month even if you put an extra 1500 in at the middle of the month

you can get the same effect by just making one extra payment during tax season take your tax money and put one extra payment per year to your mortgage

Not all mortgage companies process the partial payment. Company who financed my home requires full payment to apply it accordingly.
