@therealafrohemian: My front foyer is a means of protection for me when I come into my home. It’s where I take off the day. So this area requires a level of intention when participating in weekly cleaning rituals. I make sure to especially cleanse both physically and spiritually when any new item is brought into this area. I love that I can take my time with each item acquired. Cleanse these items so that they can continue to do what they do. As a maximalist girlie, this ritual is one that I look forward to. I get to spend one-on-one time with the things that bring me joy, and serve me. Cleansing ritual are my quiet time, my time to still and to pray. I make sure to factor in this time, no matter how busy I am weekly.
