not mormon but they don't have crosses in the same way other Christian practices do (because of idolism which is ironic considering the other shit) they have pictures of him on the cross or statues of him with the marks from the cross but not the cross itself for a reason they are Christian by focusing on the actual person not what he was nailed to I left because none of it suited me but I still look at the actual faith like it is better than other Christian sects due to the fact they don't take the cross as an excuse to continue to behave badly: word of wisdom, straight and narrow path, etc. they take the actual person and treat him like a brother they're grateful too vs taking the cross as something to worship instead now the organization itself has huge issues particularly with money and often I see other Christians going "I'm saved so everything I do is forgiven" vs Mormons who go "I'm saved but I still mess up and I don't want to take that for granted so I hold myself to a higher standard and blame myself for what I do so I can be forgiven" the actual faith isn't bad but the organization is absolute shit especially considering the organization doesn't actually reflect the faith itself when you dig deeper into it
