Ethymology: before GSM, GPS,… mostly truckers used the Citizens Band Radio (CB radio) as a tool to communicate. They used to communicate in numbers to shorten the message over the radio. Those communications started with ‘10-…’. Here’s a short list of CB communication numbers: 10-1 (receiving poorly) 10-2 (receiving well) 10-20 (location) 10-22 (report in person to …) 10-85 (home address) etc…
