I love that they make sure his Indian heritage is a huge part of his character in a respectable way. CBS basically is letting him play himself as a first generation American where he is owning the compromise of his cultures, both Indian and American.

that’s genuinely insane considering the original from BBC is an interracial couple. I really thought that this was intentional because the BBC is my favorite version still but they don’t make it anymore so I’m forced to watch the American and I genuinely thought that having an interracial couple was intentional because that’s how it was on the original🤯
