@eloisegracey: I’ve pumped & expressed since birth as he’s got a tongue tie & wouldn’t latch but now he’s started to but he just stays on there forever do I still need to give him a bottle #newborn #ivf #ftm #ivfbaby
If he’s still getting wet/dirty nappies then I would say he’s cluster feeding to up your supply. If not enough wet/dirty then he’s not getting enough. Best of luck!!

One thing that really helped me was accepting it and lowering my expectations. Really really helped my stress levels. Binge a series, grab a supply of snacks and drinks and get your feet up to relax at the same time 🥰

Cluster feeding, he is “putting in his milk order” (increasing your supply) this is common up to at least 6 weeks. Can be a lot at night as this is when your prolactin is at its highest. I promise it gets easier over time!

Cluster feeding. it will pass. as long as bubs is having wet and dirty nappies they are getting all that they need 🫶🏼 keep your fluids and food intake up. I know it's exhausting at this stage. But he is learning 💙

Absolutely normal, it is cluster feeding, it can look like them being attached for hours on end, I went through this and remember crying everyday because it’s so exhausting but it’s how they build your milk supply, it will get easier trust me, for me after 6 weeks breastfeeding became so much easier and more enjoyable , once your milk supply is established and baby has become more efficient in feeding feeds can be as short as 10 minutes! I’m 5 months in now, hang in there it does get easier even though you may feel like giving up now xx

Cluster feeding is hard no one prepares you for it. It does get better 🥰 as long as baby is having wet nappies you’re all good 👍

Say hello to cluster feeding! It’s completely normal. Babies normally do it when they’re going through a growth spurt. Get comfortable, put in a god show, have lots of snacks and drinks with you 💖

Breastmilk is like 80% water so it’s digested very quickly! It’s also VERY normal for baby to want to eat all the time. Or even just for comfort

perfectly normal! cluster feeding while they're going through growth spurts, feeding because they're thirsty, feeding because they want comfort, feeding because thats what babies are supposed to do. All perfect normal xxx

He’s probably cluster feeding to regulate your supply 💙 if he’s having plenty of wet nappies and not hungry/dehydrated. In any doubt call your health visitor or your lactation team if you have one, I asked my HV to watch me do a feed and she reassured me baby was getting plenty of
