you think about God only when you are in need. Did you do anything to show your love to him? No bagging, no knees needs...... God had already given you his hand, you need to give him yours! Start to study the Bible and understand. It is the letter of our Heavenly Father to each of us. Religion? That is much more history and future predictions.
